Who should apply: budget analysts, economists, accountants, auditors, and administrators in the central ministries of finance and planning; professionals from state- or provincial-level ministries of finance and planning; professionals from sector ministries; professionals from public enterprises; professionals from aid agencies

Courses offered by the University of Zürich on Democracy and Democratization
The University of Zurich offers courses on Democracy and Democratization, which aim at measuring democracy and its global spread. They also discuss processes of democratization in various parts of the world, focusing on specific regions or contexts. ALDA Training, Information, Cooperation – Towards Active Citizenship
ALDA is launching a new project TIC-TAC (Training, Information, Cooperation - Towards Active Citizenship), which will last until January, 17th 2013. This project aims at strengthening the participation of potential stakeholders (Association of LA, CSOs, LAs, citizens) of the Europe for Citizens Programme http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/citizenship/index_en.php through the creation of a platform for the establishment of long lasting partnership. The main activities will be: an international training course in Brussels focused on all the actions of the Europe for Citizens programme; 12 local Info Days; and an international Citizenship Fair. The latter has the aim of promoting exchange of good practices among partners and of creating and strengthening relations through the setting-up of a network using a dynamic and interactive method. Fellowships available for training course Local Economic Development
The Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Educa-tion (NUFFIC) offers the opportunity to apply for a fellowship for the training course « Local Economic Development", as part of the Netherlands Fellow-ship Programme (NFP) for short courses. This two-week training course will be held in The Hague, The Netherlands from 10 to 21 September 2012. The course aims at strengthening the economic capacity of regional communities discussing strategies, tools and approaches to improve conditions for economic growth and job creation.
